The Littlest Angel...1950..16mm Kodachrome.....

#1 by Greg Perry , Sun Dec 15, 2019 5:31 pm

Here are a few pics of a 1950 animated film produced by Hugh Harman (uncredited) for Coronet Films. This was a popular film to be shown in grade schools here in the U.S. around Christmas time. I remember seeing it in the early 1970's and finally got this Kodachrome print with nice color from a fellow collector here in Minnesota. A few splices at the start but I am happy to have this one in the Christmas film collection....

I remember this print and loved it. Unfortunatly the one shown to us kids in the 80's was Eastman and fading already. Your print looks beautiful. Definitly a keeper.

I ALSO own this one Greg, although mine is faded. For those unfamiliar with the film, there is no spoken dialog, only narration and some gentle music. The animation is sometimes no more than still shots with the panning of the camera, but it is certainly a sweet film for children to experience. There is a spiritual lesson to be learned from it. Yours looks great Greg! This film is a keeper in my collection!

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the kind words on the film. Even if faded, it is still a great film to have a copy of!
It really is a classic film with a great message....

That is a very good print Greg, must be pretty rare to as they all seem to be faded or fading now.
