A question for Tom.

Now that you are looking for two more titles in 16mm, I'm wondering how close this brings you to your limit of 30 titles in this guage, or whether you have moved the boundaries? Being able to say 'No more. that's it' is easier said than done.

It started of at about 25, then it became 25 to 30. You just never know what is going to turn up.

Maybe the magic number of 30 will soon be revised upward to at least 36--to include the two Eastwood films Tom is seeking and
these as well (assuming Tom and his brother don't have them already)...

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
Fistful of Dollars
For a Few Dollars More
Unforgiven

And who could blame anyone for wanting a few more outstanding films in their family collection!

Greg,
You wouldn't believe how many times I told my wife 'This is it; I won't be buying any more', followed two weeks later by 'i've seen a film I want to buy. Having to add 'I wasn't expecting this to come along'.

Hello chaps,
Wellllll,
So far i am at a total of 25, this does include a few shorts,
Now then, if i cheat, my total number of features is 13, the TV programmes i have amount to 11.Plus one short U8 cut down, (Madigan). So, if i said 25/30 features i am only half way there.
I sold off the episode of The Sweeney, sadly due to more fade than i liked and also one episode of Minder, The Bengal tiger, also due to more fade than i liked. My Brother does want to sell off his copy of an episode of the Big Valley. This one was a bit of a disappointment as there isn't much in the way of any action, the print itself is fine though so one day i will get a round to moving this one on, it's just a case of fine tuning what we have in order to keep a sensible level. While i have this house i do have room for 50/60 but i do intend to be sensible and realistic.
With High Plains Drifter on the way soon this will take our 16mm collection to a total of 26 including everything so 4 more.
If i could find the titles i want on 16 to close my collection it would actually take me to 31, these are my wants but i do understand there will be very little chance of finding them all, if any at all,

The Untouchables,
Kelly's Heroes,
Joe Kidd
The Outlaw Josey Wales.
Silence of The Lambs. (16 or 8mm if the price is right).

I must admit it is dangerous to keep looking to see what is out there because the temptation to buy will always be there. Isn't 16mm GREAT? Why didn't i collect this years ago? The answer, my first home was a two up two down and it just wasn't practical.

Looking for, Joe Kidd / The Outlaw Josey Wales on 16mm. Good prints only.

It wasn't practical for me to collect earlier than I did. I bet we have both missed some great titles over the years. I expect that's a familiar story Eivind.

I have four 16mm films:

Airport 1975 (scope)
The Dove (scope)
Local Hero
Shout at the Devil (scope)

I love these films - they were all shown at my school in the 1970s (except LH obviously). Four is my maximum because they take up too much space.

Oh...but I am looking for these!:

The Poseidon Adventure (scope)
The Man with the Golden Gun
The Odessa File
Where Eagles Dare
