It's certainly a good time to be in the hobby; especially if you want to collect 16mm, which was formerly either not available or too expensive; plus the huge range of titles on DVD. Although digital killed of film; the change to broadcasting digital has allowed us to buy films we could only dream of owning before.

Talking of kidnapped,
This was one of our wants as a scope feature once i got into 16mm, i havnt checked the film stock but we did strike lucky with this one last year and it was this film that decided us to look more into 16mm, this was the full scope feature where as the 8mm feature is abridged and of course flat, the cost was £90 inc post. This is our copy here,
Kidnapped. Scope, Michael Caine

very soon after we picked up Blue Thunder and the excellent cross of Iron,
Cross of Iron Full feature Mint print
Blue Thunder. 2 x 2000ft spools Low Fade colour print

I was offline Tom. I know what you mean though; I have one or two films I could describe as flawless, not a mark to be seen. Great looking print there. Just had a look at your screenshots for Kidnapped; I haven't seen as good a print as this come up on Ebay. You were lucky to get this. Very nice that you managed to get such a good copy of one of your favourites. Apart from films, we also have something else in common; I didn't like school either. The happiest day of my life was walking out for the last time.

Yes i agree, i hated every day of it. Useless teachers, none of them encouraged me to want to learn, (and no, i wasn't a pain in the butt, i was bought up to be cheerful and well mannered),so help unless you had a brown tongue and past everything with 10 out of 10 you left alone. The school was meant to be one of the better ones in this City at the time. I just hated everything about it, the day i left was one of the happiest days of my life. Then second was going to Roger Lillys company here in Plymouth with £375 in cash to buy my first Elmo ST1200HD M&O, and its the one i still have and use frequently.

I found college far more taxing than school to be honest. School was kinda like fun by comparison. Things got a whole lot more pressured and serious the minute I left.

The course I was placed on was really a full time course, but because I was employed as an apprentice, we had to try and learn in one 12 hour day release period per week, what others were learning over a 5 day period.

It took 5 years in total to complete the course to HND conclusion.
12 hours in one day sat in any classroom trying to learn things like Calculus, is extremely tiring and taxing while you still have to work for the other 4 or 5 days in that same week.
Revision, I really hated and could often find myself up until all hours panic revising before exams.
I'm glad I no longer have to do such activities as this, at this stage of my working life.
