This is one loony 400ft reel from U8 with the Marx Brothers in the all time classic comedy Duck Soup. Opening with a selection of the original credits this is a top quality print with very good sound from U8, the only criticism print wise is that there a little more hiss on the soundtrack than U8's usual releases but nothing to shout home about. While i love the Marx Bros for there comedy and fast one liners i cant say i care too much for any of the musical numbers that often slow the pace of the comedy down and this one opens with a short, (thankfully), musical number. I have to say i never realised that there was a 400ft version of this film until i picked this one up for a tenner.
The only big disappointment with this 400ft version is that it does not contain the well known mirror sequence but believe me there is still 100% of laughs in this excellent short.
