Another excellent choice of super 8 release by Derann film services.

Opening with the narrators voice in the style of Edgar Allan Poe, A cat is driven crazy by a bizarre cuckoo bird from the clock. He tries in vein to get the cuckoo but the bird gets the best of the cat who only wants to eat him and have some peace and quiet.
Tex Avery's cartoons for MGM are absolute gems and are among the best shorts ever made. They had a level of zany surrealism that put them in a class by themselves.

This 200ft Derann release is on LPP polyester stock and the colours as always saturates the screen. The print and sound quality are first class from start to finish. It's when you see these Derann prints with this quality you realise that most, (not all) of the very new releases do not compare as far as image is concerned, the image shines out. These image taken during projection so you dont get the benefit if the vivid colours.

Very nice Tom sometimes its nice to just watch good cartoons.There used to be cinemas that showed cartoons all day long,great to watch films that you dont have to think about just enjoy.

This one is considered to be tame by Tex Avery standards, it could almost be Tom & Jerry but agree, its good to just sit back and screen some funny nonsense. Guaranteed to make you laugh.
