Nice find Tom.

Ref fade on LPP, I've been saying it for years on forums but no one took it seriously, I've had The Fog and Never Ending Story,Die Hard,Raise the Titanic along with a few others that had fade, not pink/red but the black had started to get the red hue, Never Ending story was the worst,Mark

If its film, it will happen, I have read about a few copies of neverending story. But as a positive, there are tons of good low fade films out there and many old fuji and Agfa colour prints that will outlast many a collector, thats the main thing .

A scoop of trailers.
Today I recieved a great box from the postman containing 10 reels (11 trailers). As per images, this is an excellent collection in itself and to say I'm pleased with my purchase is a huge understatement. There is also a 50ft spool containing an Odeon intermission dayset, an excellent Christmas dayset, (happy holidays) and The Queen, end of show National anthem.
During the coming days I will review each one for Eivinds database but for today, I gave each one a very quick filmguard treatment and viewed the mall, each one has 1st class image and sound and are all in very good condition.

I collected these six films from a nearby collector yesterday. I haven't had time to look at them yet. From posted pictures at an auction, the colors are very good.

Who released that THE FLYING DEUCES, Eivind? Is that the Walton release? Mine is from them; great quality but slightly edited down from 69 minutes to just under an hour.

I am not sure. I don't think this was the original box and I can't see any name of a distributor. When I search for it I see that both Mountain Films and Derann had a 4x400.

Thanks,

Not Walton then -- theirs was 3x400'.
I knew Niles released it -- didn't know about Derann and Mounain, though.

Just acquired a copy of Derann's copy of Tyburn Films - The Ghoul - starring Peter Cushing and John Hurt - from Independent 8 - looking forward to screening it tomorrow.

Quote: Tom Photiou wrote in post #1673
I saw the Ghoul on TV years ago, anything with Peter Chushing is going to be good on 8mm. (or 16)

Someone is selling this on eBay right now -- -says C+ color. I've never heard of the movie -- thought it might be a Hammer -- guess not. $49 plus shipping. Is it worth it? Seller claims it is not available on DVD/Blu-ray. It does have Veronica Carlson in it -- VA VA VA VOOOM!

Mountain Films released "The Flying Deuces" F/L on 4x400' reels, quite a nice print too, I believe for a short time they shared the rights with Walton on a few L&H films, as I know they released a F/L print of "Way Out West" as well.

Billy Connolly, Big Banana feet, British theatrical print with "AA" certificate opening. Filmed during his Northern Ireland tour in the late 70s before he became a huge international comedy star.
This is a low fade print so looking forward to viewing this, as far as I can see it isn't available on any other format.
This film shows behind the scenes as well as on stage so is more of a documentary. It contains many of his comical songs and stories he hasn't done in many years.
