Got it from a collector in Wales David, very pleased with them so far but not ran them yet, I have a lot of films I've bought but have had other projects which haven't given me the time needed to view them, I can tell you the Jaws feature is low fade and scope, Kindergarten Cop I've sold and Independence Day is going to be rerecorded and sold also, that makes the films more affordable, i know two nice titles will be going but I'm happy to let them go to fund these and future purchases, Mark

Low fade scope jaws, thats fantastic. Would very much like to see any screenshots you get when you view it Mark.
Should you ever sell beverly hills cop you will always have a customer right here.
A trailer for Robocop was at 66 quid on ebay earlier, that feature very rarely turns up.

I've not watched this one yet but I will fire up the HID at some point as it will give it a new lease of life having some fade, it's a TV series I like and will go very nicely with the other episode I have. It came from Tom Photiou and as I was in the area we arranged to finally meet which was great to do so after all the years of communication between us. Thanks Tom.

Mark, thank you for collecting this one, it was good to meet after all the years talking on here.
It'll be interesting to see how the image looks via a HID lit machine.

Ha Ha, people can be as rude as they like Mark, my bluntness may upset some, but confusing the two may get them an answer they don't want to hear, plenty of " keyboard worriors on the forums, i'm shaking in my boots , not.......

After years of hoping, predator is on the way to me and nowhere near the nutty prices we,re seeing online and already mounted on two 1200ft reels. Looking forward.

That's great Tom. I would be interested to know if this is an early print with Brown stripe or a much later print (like mine) with Grey stripe and waht the colour is like. I do remember sometime back a print was on Ebay that had fade, but it may have been a very early print stored badly. Scary though but many prints could be over 30 years old as it came out around 1991??
I must admit I haven't looked at mine for a while because I need to put mine back on 600ft reels as currently it's like yours on 2x1200 and I don't run 1200ft reels anymore.
If there is artwork and it is in good condition, is it possible you could scan it.

I'm very surprised to hear of a faded print previously, I'm sure in the 90s Derann only used LPP low fade but I may be wrong on that, I hope so anyway.
Being colour blind I think mine has a grey stripe, but perhaps you can confirm from this image, the colour is certainly A1. Thursday will be the viewing day for us.

That does look to me like the Grey stripe.
You're right Tom about Derann only using Low Fade in the 90's but as I have learnt in the past year is that Low Fade doesn't mean No Fade as some collectors (albeit in warmer climates) have found their new Derann prints have warmed. I've not noticed it myself but am wondering as these prints age, if they will eventually fade to a degree, even if they don't turn pink like Eastman. I'm not sure if that faded Predator print is still available to view on Ebay, but I did also wonder at the time if it was a bootleg, but it did get sold.
I will have to check but I also read that Agfa AG1S fades quicker than AG2S, but I will have to re-read the article.
Colour looks great on that logo, a film every super 8 collector should have in their collection. When I ran mine the picture is so sharp you can see the beads of sweat on their foreheads.

Here in Plymouth, I spoke to a chap who use to work for the BBC achieves, the one thing he told me in no uncertain terms was that no matter what the film stock is, it will fade eventually, many of the low fade stock films including LPP may well out last most of us but it was an interesting conversation I had with him regarding our 8 and 16mm films. I tried to convince him that LPP was the one, but he was fully aware of it and explained so much about film stock he may as well have been speaking Chinese to me as I simply didn't understand much of what he was saying, but he put it in plain English, all film will fade in time.
I have read several posts on different forums where collectors have said they had LPP prints with fade, certainly in hot and humid climate countries, this is almost certain to happen in time unless films can be stored in a cool place with low humidity.
