I will start off this year's picture thread with a picture of me and Shorty. An American and a Norwegian meeting in the UK.

Someone actually brought a Eumig 926 GL? I could hear the film chattering all the way across the pond!

I think he wants the 400’ sound, he asks me tosell mine, but I do not have it, only 400’ Dizzy Pilots. Hope he Finds what he searches for

Saturday film show

Hopefully a full feature not a dull one Elvind 😬

Die hard would be a good one,a christmassy type film but lots of great action.

Mark, you took the words out of my mouth ;_) I find it to be very good, not dull at all :-) Have a Super 8, maybe lightly edited? It is a 1200’+800’

Last year it was Norman wisdom ???, this year " a night to remember " oh the irony, if you are trying to encourage younger people to take an interest in the hobby, don't show boring b/w films from 50 years ago ...........

I am sure—as Mark said—that is a typo on Eivind’s part. I am sure Eivind meant “full” and not dull. As Paul suggested, hopefully there are some younger film enthusiasts in attendance at Blackpool too.

Haha, my goodness, indeed I meant "full" and not "dull", and I have edited the post now.

The dinner. The film show at the dinner where home made Super 8 from several concerts, some home made railway films (incredible colors), all shot by a fellow Norwegian collector, and my copy of Pinchcliff Grand Prix, the Norwegian stop motion animation from 1975. I was a bit afraid it would be dull (this time I spelled it on purpose) as it has Norwegian audio, but it was a big hit! They got an introduction to the story before it got started and the story is quite visual and easy to get without understanding the language.

And I had a fantastic tie with the Derann logo that Greg Perry has made and sent to me! Tha ks again Greg! The coolest tie in the room.
