I read on the other forum the sad news that Maurice had died, I knew him for many years, and he was always fun to talk too, his knowledge was vast, as was his collection, projectors, fims (mostly 16mm) and equipment. I know 85 is a great age, but his knowledge has been lost to the rest of us.

Thanks for posting this on here Barry, another sad loss of a long term collector and with a lifetime of knowledge in the cinema trade.

Maurice had been unwell for some time now and the news we did not want to hear has now arrived.Very very sad,a great loss to his family and the wider film community.Maurices knowledge of anything cinematic was vast covering all gauges,one of his last postings was for the Odeon Weston Super Mare,his last cinema to work in and that it was closing.I know he would be pleased to hear that Merlin have bought it and soon to be reopened.

We are fortunate, however, that Maurice has left our Forum a legacy gift of his amazing knowledge. We have over 40 pages of posts with Maurice's contributions and expertise!

Very sad to hear this.

Maurice helped answer many of my questions when I got back into the hobby a few years ago. Just a fountain of knowledge - he'll be greatly missed.
