British actor Brian Murphy is 90 years old today, Mr Murphy became the patron of the BFCC some years ago and often attended the conventions. I was fortunate to meet him very briefly at one of the few i attended as he mingled with the collectors. He was in over 20 movies and scores of TV programmes and is best know for his role as a hen pecked husband, George Roper in Man about the House. This show was so successful in the 70s that a spin off show, George and Mildred followed with equal success.

I actually sold him films back in the day, he's a great fan of the Basil Rathbone "Sherlock Holmes" films, so a happy belated Birthday to Mr. Murphy!
