Dances with Wolves.

This afternoon and early evening i set up the 16 and viewed my print of Dances with Wolves.
Can never ever tire of this movie. A few cinch marks on early parts of a couple of the reels but nothing to ruin this masterpiece of a movie. Lovely bright pin sharp image.
These crappy images dont do it any justice at all.

Looking for, Joe Kidd / The Outlaw Josey Wales on 16mm. Good prints only.

Tom,
Great movie to have on film! Titles like this one--with high "repeat-ability" are well worth the initial investment in my mind...
Thanks for posting some fine pics that really show the brilliant images from this 16mm print.

Great pictures. You have the full version? That must be quite some reels! It is a pretty long movie :-)

It had more versions, 181 min | 234 min (extended) | 236 min (director's cut) | 236 min (DVD special edition)

But 3 hours fit on 3-4 2000’ reels I suppose

Wow Tom, what a great looking print, I'll hold my hands up and admit I've never seen this movie, but I know that is my loss as I love this kind of film, will have to rectify that soon.

Thanks Dell, this was one of those very rare occasions where i bought a film having never seen it before.
It's a good print but not a perfect print, it does suffer with some cinch marks, particularly for the first halves of reels 1 and 3, however,
1/ Its overall condition is very good as you can see, utterly pin sharp with excellent sound,
2/ The first rate seller, Kevin, i bought it off told me in every detail about its condition and cinch marks and let me have it for a price that only a fool would have turned down.
3/ As the movie is generally shot in superb bright outdoors, the cinch marks are of no concern,

It's probably my best purchase on 16mm next to Mississippi Burning. I was a very luck boy to get this. The only reason i would ever part with it is if someone had an equally good scope print. As of yet, i have only ever seen that once for sale, it was a Derann list around five years after this film was released and it was £500 when all other 16s were around 50 to 250 max.
