As above, sound just went off, and when rewinding the takeup hub turns but the front arm doesn't. Any ideas chaps?

Update, it's blowing the 2A fuse for the amp circuit. And the transformer seems to buzzing. Uh oh...

I'm no expert but possibly a dry joint on the circuit board ref the sound,Mark

I have struggled with the sound disappearing too. I am not sure yet, but suspect a dry joint on mine.

The title of the post suggests it is an Elmo 16CL
