Just received from Nigel Higgins another 2 16mm features - the trashy 1970's british horror - I Don't Want to be Born - with Joan Collins, Ralph Bates and Donald Pleasance and the Universal 1973 Mafia Thriller - The Don is Dead with Anthony Quinn, Frederick Forrest, Robert Forster - looking forward to viewing.

Heard of the first one, but not seen either. Never seen a bad film with Anthony Quinn. Just had a look at the last one, and it was directed by Richard Fleisher, son of Max the cartoonist. He was a very good director.

Great film, I love Mel Brooks

It think this has the scene where camera zoom in on a window, you hear it break?

You're right Vidar - it also has cracking performances by Harvey Korman, Cloris Leachman and Madeline Kahn.

Just got The Man With The Golden Gun on 16mm, colour is on the turn a bit but with a filter on it looks brilliant, nice sharp print.

Well done on that Del; that's a very good Bond movie.

I totally agree, Del, but it's never regarded as one of the greats of the series. It's such a good story with the perfect villain, great locations, and one of John Barry's best scores. What's not to love exactly?

Possibly Lulu's theme tune Martin, but other than that, Christopher Lee is brilliant, love the martial arts bit too, and of course the return of Sheriff JW Culpepper, all in all a great film.

Had this about a month, but still haven't seen. I am always on the lookout for reasonably priced reels such as these (in the horror/sci-fi category), in standard 8.

Never heard of that one Tim; great artwork on the box. I can only think of the Lulu song; the movie is a good one. I like the ending, where Bond and Scaramanger are both trying to kill each other.

I can't see how to move this single entry Tim; maybe Vidar can do it, or you can repost it, and then this one deleted; up to you.

I found this at BSTR the other week. It surely has to rank up there amongst the finest artwork boxes ever.

I'm sure a lot of you already have it, but it's been elevated to one of my favorite films with its rubbish narration and bad transitions. It actually has quite good colour but it's a bit scratched up. Of course, that all adds to the fun.

I'm never selling this. Absolute classic.

I had a copy of this as well Martin, colour was ok but as you say there was a fair amount of scratches, I am hoping to find a better copy one day.
