Pulp Fiction Trailer.

I could not resist purchasing this item from Steve at the Reel Image,
At the moment super 8 is having a little rest while i catch up with the 16mm films we have purchased recently. BUT, i didn't want to wait to see this little reel, a packed 50ft spool and trailer full of action and snippets of so many of the great scenes complete with much of the music, lots of everything you could say, i will take a look at the Derann catalouges later as i think this may have been imported either by them or Phil at CHC as the titles are German,
I put up my spare Elmo now its all up and running at the right speed etc, and i will tell you that these images were taken as it was projected on 2ft image size on the off white wallpaper of my dinning room so even though they look good i think its going to be superb on a proper big screen in the film room later.
The stock is LPP pre stripe so aside the pin sharp image & glorious colours the sound is absolutely top notch in every way.
You will appreciate that tailers move very quickly so they arnt the easiest thing for me to get get screenshots from.
I havnt seen this one on 8mm before but i am sure there is more out there but never the less it is a rare beasty and very recommended.

I will keep them peeled for one at all times Tom. It's one of my favourites is this film.

Is it a lengthy trailer Tom?

Its a 50ft spool but it is a full reel for once. It certainly packs a lot of snippets in there from the whole film, what i like about it is that there's is also fair length snips of the great soundtrack.

I'm puzzled by this as being on LPP this sounds like a Derann release but the titles are in German. I didn't know Derann imported trailers at that time (until late on and these would have been acetate). Hopefully we can find out some more information about this soon.

I don't believe this title ever originated from Derann Graham, hence it's rarity.

I would think this most likely originated from America, distributed perhaps by The Reel Image there.
The Reel Image use only the German Labs to print their film releases since the closure of Derann, as does CHC.

yep i think your right there Andy, its definatly not in any of my Derann catalogues, now you mention it Graham i have had a trailer or two with German titles before and those were all from CHC, he usually releases items along side of Steve at reel image.

Yes I understand your point but this is printed on LPP prestripe whereas all German releases a few years back are all printed on Acetate laminate stripe, which is why I originally thought of Derann. Did the German lab release in LPP prestripe ? but the foreign titles point to the German lab. When I get the chance I will look in "International Movie Maker" in which Phil reviews all his releases including many trailers.
