Only one way to find out Stuart.
I do hope he can help you out with these. I've only ever seen cans advertised for storing 16mm films and spools.
It's hard enough finding Super 8mm cardboard box suppliers these days.
There is one I know of besides Phil but as we all know, without competition in the marketplace people can pretty much charge whatever they like for them!

I am lucky to have a friend working at a cardboard factory, he does some of those 1600’ and 2000’ for me, free of charge. They do not do Super 8 thinner boxes sadly
They would be quite expensive for a big run, he manually do 15-20 for me when he can

Try uline.com - can get varying sizes to hold 1,2 or 3 1600' reels, or 2000' reels.
