The scilly thing is, these days you can buy a large electric screen for a small amount of money, i have an idea these are for professional use,

Draper were not renowned as being some of the most expensive screen manufacturers either!
I think this may have been a corporate sale initially.

From the instructions above it appears to be a permanent install screen. Not retractable once built from what I can gather.

What ratio is it?

Do you know what ratio this screen is in yet Tom?

BTW
Stuart here, who is currently building himself a dedicated home cinema, has expressed an interest in one of these Tom over on the other forum, just in case you weren't aware.

From Stuart's research, it transpires these are a permanent set up screen so are really only of use to those who do have a dedicated Cinema room.

Tom Draper are an American firm specializing in all types of screens, electric, permanent, and corporate usage. I would say you have one of there older permanent screens that you either fix to never move or one that can be used on large "feet" and can be moved around in say a coference room.
whatever one you have its most likely to be big,but you maybe able to adapt the parts, especially the screen material for your own use.
www.draperinc.com will give you a lot of info.
hope you find a good use for it

Cheers Gwyn, they are very big, the smallest is 100 inches, i will find out what the others are tomorrow. To be honest i dont particularly want them around the house due to there weight and size. they are certainly top quality items. I will definatly use one of them to make a new widescreen but will have to see what to do with the others if i take them.
I know there's a couple of chaps interested but trying to pack these for carriage will be a logistical nightmare for me. I had to use a works Vivaro van to get it home.
