Cheers David, it is a very good print, one of Deranns best, and being the pre stripe stock, sound is first class. This one very nearly got listed a year ago, but each time i view it i put it off. Once gone it's not likely to be replaced, its a shame about the single black line that appears but fortunately, it doesn't spoil it. I know someone who bought a feature from a dealer a couple of years ago, when he viewed it he was dissapointed to see it full of lines, including a couple of emulsion scratches which on this title, would ruin it as so much is set a night. Black lines, as you know, are hardly noticed on dark scenes.
I would be interested to see if anyone has the 600ft version and could do a review, i'd like to know what scenes are included.

High TOM, I have both versions, i can do a review of the 600ft over the next few days, is there anything specific you want to know?, or is it just to know how they edited it?.

Thank you Mark and Paul,
Mark, yes please, its just a case of seeing how the story has been edited, finding out what scenes are in the 600ft version.
I wouldn't mind finding a copy should one come up at the right price.
This was a title that found me rather than me looking for it. I got a phone call from Roger Lily who bought a collection with this title included, he would not put what he termed as modern horror films or films of violence on his lists, he was very much against it.
This one was offered to me for £60, the sound interference at the very start was an annoyance, the funny thing is this, it sounds like some sort of ships whistle so at first i didn't think too much of it, anyway i sent it off to Derann for a re-record, unfortunately, they sent it back saying that i had cut the leader too short. All the countdown was in there but sadly it appeared the previous owner did cut some off. I'm sure they could have sorted it but there you go. It's not to bad and it is short lived, and it doesn't actually affect the original sound on the film in any way, its like an added extra . For 60 quid, im not complaining, .

I'm sure you'll get your money back if you sold it Tom, might even fetch £65 now
I remember my son watching the first 600 footer of the Fog ,he was about 11 at the time,he didn't find it scary at all, I rerecorded the sound and played him the very same film again after the sound was done, he jumped in several scenes,Mark

Great film, I missed out on a feature a few years back. Only have the 600’ digest. Love Carpenter and would have loved to own The Thing and Escape From New York in any gauge
Looks brilliant

Escape from New York my favourite Carpenter film Vidar, and the woman in the fog is also in this film too, she's dies on the bridge scene firing at Isaac Hayes, "the duke" ......

Escape from New York is brilliant, you need to see it. The music is awesome, cast is great, action superb. Some nice humour too
Missed out on a faded 16mm, seller got annoyed when I asked if the pictures were unmodified :-) Oh, well, as a newbie I didn’t think that was too bad to ask :-)
