i have several of these ad reels from Derann, as said, they do bring back memories but are also a very entertaining reels in there own right.
Sitting in Cinemas in the 70s and 80s i never thought for one moment i would pay for what i was watching before the movie started, each advert is a work of art compared to the PC crap they put out now.
The quality of these reels is for the most of the part as good as some of there top feature releases, all mine have A1 picture and sound.

I believe this was Derann's last advert reel. I don't remember there being a 31.

Mark,
A nice mix of commercials there. I have a couple of advert reels and am always looking to pick up another, but sometimes these go for big money on ebay so that gets in the way. One I have that comes to mind includes a fun commercial for Schweppe's Tonic Water with Connie Booth...

Martin,
What a nice collection there! As you are able too, those covers would be great to send to Eivind for the Super8Database. I know you have sent him quite a few cover pics already!

Yes likewise nice collection there Martin. I have a few of these including Flavour of the Month (but not with that cover on) which I love. I put it on a 400ft reel along with Pic 'N 'Mix which is very similar and worth looking out for. Its now 20mins of pure 60's cinema escapism. Intermission time is a great one but have just left it on the 200ft.
Also I have several of CHC Classic Nostalgia series which are the equal of the Derann cine ad's full of classic cinema adverts, daysets and the odd trailer although slightly shorter running time. Again look out for these if you haven't got any. Phil might have some on his secondhand list.

Thanks, Greg. Actually, the only ones there with original artwork are Intermission Time, Derann 6 and 14 and Flavour of the Month (I already sent all those over to Eivind for the website). On the others I just photocopy artwork and print the descriptions from the Derann catalogues. I try to make the boxes look as original as possible, though!

Martin's covers are looking great on the "Newly Added" row on top of Super8database right now. Thanks again, Martin!

You done well there with the boxes Martin, i also thought they were originals. Thank you also for putting them onto the database which is a really good site, Eivind and Greg's work has paid off brilliantly. It's very quickly become a must use website for any cine collector.
