Happy new year, to all! For some reason my last attempt to reply was blocked as I had made the same reply in the other Happy New Year topic :-) But here it is with different wording so it gets through :-)

Happy New Year to the Forum !!

This year will be allocated to Beaulieu 's Board essentially.

However a friend on a French Forum has engineered a new device (Low Speed Frequencemeter) to allow very fine adjustment of projectors speeds.
It is based on "Arduino" Circuit with OLED screen. It will works for 1, 2 , 3, 4, (5) shutter blades using Arduino Infra Red sensor.
I can't wait to experience it !!

Best Wishes

Philippe

And very good it is too. Its a pity the meter isn't smaller, as this could be fitted where the film counter is on the older versions of the beaulieu. Now that would be a useful, visible addition to this machine .......

New Frequencemeter will be fitted in a small aluminium box showing a standard DC12V receptacle and an other receptacle to allow different sensor combination.

New display will be OLED technology and a bit smaller (its window is 25mm x10mm approx) , brighter and showing improved contrast.
OLED display can be moved apart from main circuit, display needs only 4 wires.

Keyboard ( 2 push buttons, ON/Off, Data Scroll) can also be moved apart .

Moreover a USB port will allow to export data on a computer to make curves or data tables. This is just a super tool !!

So , if Frequencemeter has to be embeded in a projector , it is possible to manage a frame plate on rear cover ...................or just a smole hole to only reach USB plug.

I will see that later once I test it.
