Jurassic Park - New digest

#1 by Greg Perry , Thu Aug 27, 2020 5:58 pm

Yesterday I received my print of the new 600 foot "Jurassic Park" by Dave Baker....It is super sharp, with booming sound, colors are brilliant and the scene selection is very good as well. There were a few scenes I had hoped would be in there that did not make the cut, but given the limitations of digests that is what happens. As you know, the price of the print is up there for a digest, but I will sell off a few items to help defray the cost.

Really a great print. If you haven't ordered one yet, you might want to. More pics later.....

Do you know if it was done from 35mm or is it digital to film?

Hi Vidar,

It was done from 35mm film to create negative--not digital. For US residents, the price is $275.00. For Europe price, you need to contact David Baker at monsterman1954@aol.com. He is trying to get a UK distributor but as of now all the prints are coming from the US. David recently stated the price will increase as of September 1.

It is on mylar and is low fade, of course.

Greg
How is the film supplied? A plain white box or perhaps something more elaborate?

Hello Maurice,

The film is simply on a brand new reel and wrapped in bubble wrap--no box included. I will need to get a proper box made up for this..

Thank you, Greg
For the money charged I thought the film would have come, at least, in a white box.

Vidar,

I was able to confirm with Dave:

The negative for JP was made from a Fuji 35mm color print.
