Hello all, including all the new members i see joining on a daily basis. Its gone a bit quite on here so i would like as many opinions on a new film i bought recently, it doesn't matter whether or not you an 8 or 16mm collector.
Please go to my review on 16mm for Another 48 hours, i want to know what your thoughts would be if you were in my shoes.

I think you are knocking your head against a brick wall,and does one really believe some of the names signed up.
Mind you I could be wrong and sorry to those if I am.

Some of them are Norwegians I know. I think the 35mm list here the other day drew some attention. Don't know all of them, though.

Yes, some of the email names seem suspect when someone requests to join. We cannot really tell if it is a real person or not, so we have to give the benefit of the doubt and temporarily approve their membership.

If they don't use their First and Last Name as their "Username" when they sign up, we email them and ask them for it. If they do not reply to that request, then we delete their temporary membership after 10 days.

It is weird because very often the new people that sign up never even log-in to the site after being approved. So, in those instances it must be some spam/trolls etc. And that makes little sense, as the forum here only has relevance, interest and meaning to film collectors.

As Eivind suggests, the recent "surge" in membership was likely 35mm film collectors wanting to see the titles that HM 'Michael' Bentley had posted.....

It is a real person, their intent we know nothing about. The register thing is to prevent bots signing. I know the 35mm list was the reason a lot signed up the day after the list was posted. Danes, Norwegians at least
