At the end of the day Paul, we want to able to promote from within this hobby of ours, all that's good and left in it.
What's not needed is some not right that collects 6 of the same machine, (why???) then boasts about the fact, despite announcing most don't work correctly (why???) , and then despite being completely unable to fix any of them by themselves.
Then the inevitable name calling exercise of anyone and everyone who tries at least to have a go at repairing what no doubt is highly likely to be a complete crock of Shiite in so so many respects.

Seriously these people need to take a long hard look in the mirror, they really do.

You're certainly correct on that very last point there Mark, that's for sure!

I must admit, as well as all the nonsense spoken, I had to laugh outwardly when I read the bit that says projectors don't rewind films without inducing slack into the film coils.
All large films should be rewound on a bench using rewind arms only apparently!

There you go Andrew he's obviously got his ways of doing things because he's had to,my machines must be broken too as they seem to rewind without slack so must get them looked at or obviously now get some rewind arms,Mark

yeah mine also Mark. I always have my Spondon LPU close to hand whenever there is a film requiring rewind,...not! 😂😂

Remind me to undo my clutch pressure plates by 3 revolutions and replace those leather friction discs with PTFE ones please Mark, next time I have a film needing rewinding.

I have just read our friend Michael's comments from here over on FT and that is a bit more like it by my reckoning!

Such a shame though that a reputable source has to have his name dragged through the mud, probably and almost certainly, without any justification. That's all.
Really annoying to me when those that do these kind of things know no better themselves.
If they did, they wouldn't need these guys in the first place, would they?
