It looks a brilliant venue, well done Dave Guest for getting it. I was just wondering when these pictures were taken, was it during one of the film shows, as it looks a little bereft of collectors, but I know it's hard to tell from just a few photos.

It is a shame the resolution of the photos on the forum has dropped in general, I like to zoom in on the films to check the titles, it is just a blur these days when you zoom in, or is it me ?

The resolution Bill, now things are back to normal here again, is as good or as bad at whatever originals are posted here.

A great fumeo projector there, how the hell did they get it up there, an iron fairy, that looks bloody heavy. Did anyone get any pictures of its projected image on the screen ?.

I didn't get any pictures of it Paul, but the guy I was sat next to at the dinner and who had been a professional projectionist was convinced it was 16mm projected. He was very surprised it was Super 8...

Is not based on the 16mm version, I would be concerned at how high it is making it top heavy, I'm looking for the scaffolding to hold up the stand. Are those amps by the side or the
power supply for the lamp ?.

The finest Super 8mm Projector ever made! The Fumeo 9145. Around 30 or 40 something kilos I believe!

Need to bolster those floorboards and wear a truss at all times to save the hernia popping out! 😂😂

It's great to hear the event goes from strength to strength for you David!
Well done indeed!

Hello Paul Browning,in answer to your questions concerning my fumeo projector used at the convention dinner, the stand is an unicol projector stand and is very strong,I have fitted an enlarged platform to accomodated the fumeo, and is steadier than perhaps it looks, the power supply for the lamp is sitting on the floor below and behind the projector, believe it or not unlike most xenon lamp power supply units this is very light in fact you can pick it up with two fingers, the other two units sitting on a stand alongside the projector are a Nad amplifier and a SRS sound processor for psuedo stereo from a mono source.
