Received my eBay win last night of a Derann print of "Pathe News - Review of 1965" (a.k.a. "A Year in Our Time"). Covers among others, Churchill's funeral, the Cup Final, the "new" Rolls Royce and Major Ed White's walk in space.

A little over 200ft on a 400ft reel, superb print quality and sound. Happy to find the print in excellent shape, just marred by a lab splice halfway and a line on the extreme far right.

What surprised the fact I was the only bidder is that it came in fairly special packaging for Derann: a full-color label in a plastic case signed by Bob Danvers Walker, the regular Path News commentator! A neat little "limited edition", I've attached the cover art from the eBay listing, I'll see if I can get a better scan and upload it to the picture gallery.

After a few years searching, I finally found an old favorite of mine. 16mm on three cores

I was at the same club meeting as Vidar and I got three of the Airport films in color and sound. Very good prices. In addition I got a Norwegian sales catalog. I had none of those prior to the meeting. Pretty happy with the result.

Eivind, one of the very first super 8mm films I bought back in the late 70's, bought it from Regent Films in Blackpool, gorgeous colour. I also have the 200' but would love a lovely colour print of this, again had a few over the years but all faded or red, well done on your purchase.

Smokey and the Bandit on a 2x400' and Tom & Jerry - Tee For Two on a 200'.

Just bought Pot O Gold, Super 8, 5x400', b/w and sound. This is an old library print, and it has some wear with a lot of lines. I hope to improve it with a little Filmguard, but I don't expect to get rid of it all. This is a film with James Stewart. I love his films and specially the ones from the 40s and 50s. This one I haven't seen, but I look forward to get it!

I have that too, too much musical for my taste, but do love James Stewart too, which is why I bought it

Received from Paul Foster a full 200ft LPP polyester reel entitled PLATFORM 3, an (amateur?) documentary on a model railway at the Blackpool South station that evidently no longer exists today.

Bit of a curio, there's a credit to a chap named Peter Millest providing narration and David Wilson for filming the production. Any idea on who put this out on Super 8mm?

One thing I find interesting is the great variety of films that you acquire. Seems like many different genres and some rarer titles too...well done!

Yes, but have of course preferred genres, like sci-fi and horror and favorite era, 70’ and 80’s, musicals I am not a big fan of, but have some, in case anyone want to see. I like Grease though
