Super8database, and Super 8 in general, in university research

#1 by Eivind Mork , Thu Jun 22, 2023 9:38 pm

Super 8 has been the media for the homes, and have been mostly forgotten by official archives. I was therefore very surprised when I last year received an e-mail from two researchers at a university in Germany, an e-mail that eventually would lead me back to “my own” university to attend some Super 8 related presentations.

You can read more about how my hobby project very unexpectedly got attention from academia in their work for preserving Super 8 history in my article at super8database.com.

Your database has rapidly become the most important website for anyone wanting to stop in one place to know about all aspects of film and projector collecting for this hobby.
Everything from film releases, box covers, reviews, projectors specs/reviews to pod casts and information of dealers past and present as well as events worldwide with videos, the list goes on.
Keep up the good work to all involved.
