Various trailers

I know trailers are not meant to be an evenings viewing, specially on 16mm, but I do like good good trailer reels. I've made a few 400ft trailer reels up with no particular theme, instead I've done it by the decades/years .
Trl Reel one, 80s Trailers, The Grey Fox, The Final Option (aka Who dares wins) and Caddyshack,
Trl reel two, 2000s scope reel B, Thunderbirds are go, Red Cliff, Prince of Persia, sands of time and Journey to the centre of the Earth.
Trl reel three 2000s scope reel A, The Lord of the Rings ,two towers, Inception, The Day after tomorrow and Pirates of the Caribbean, On stranger tides.
Trl reel four. The 2000s scope, The Hateful eight, Sherlock Holmes, A game of shadows, Percy Jackson The lightning thief,
Trl reel five through the decades, 70s The Warriors, 80s, Platoon, 90s, The Negotiator and the 2000s, The Dark Knight.

I wont put images up of all of these but here is a small selection, unfortunately these dont show the brightness and sharpness of the actual screen image, and the sound on all of them is outstanding.

I'm surprised that trailers from the 2000s are available in 16mm. I would have guessed that by sometime in the 90s that both the trailers and the films themselves never made it to 16mm. I would have guessed wrong.

I recall someone elsewhere saying that they had a 16mm of Bad Santa, if it's genuine and not a copy from a digital source it's a good find. I think the last 16s were around 2003 in which case Bad Santa would be one of the last.

But "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" was from 2011.

Some 16mm until 2003 would make sense. 2011 surprises me, even if it was only for trailers. But the proof is in your prints. Maybe there was a special run for 16mm hobbyists? In 2011, there were certainly still 35mm prints being released even thought digital projection had already started in some cinemas.
