Kit Parker 16mm Film Rental Catalog

#1 by Greg Perry , Sat Oct 16, 2021 12:14 am

From time to time I will be posting a page or two from a 1989 16mm rental catalog. Of course, these rentals are no longer available, but what is interesting to me is the titles that were available for rental. I am guessing some of these prints eventually escaped into the wild and are now in the hands of collectors. Here are a few pages....

Here is the book that I bought some years ago. It's absolutely fabulous. It lists hundreds of films which were available on hire from countless film libraries all over the USA.

Quadrophenia, now the would be a good one to get hold of along with the Borstal drama, Scum with Ray Winston. One of my biggest wants but hard to find, especially a good colour one.

I want to see “Stardust” now. Never seen it, but looks like one I’d enjoy. :-)

I agree...the fun part of going through these old catalogs is to learn of movies I have never heard of before...even if I can't watch them on film, there are other options to at least view them.

Maurice,

Thank you for posting on this as it is a great resource. I have a copy from 1982. As the title suggests, this focuses on features and doesn't appear (to me) to include shorts/digests etc.
Nonetheless, it is very helpful.
