The Curse of the Werewolf Super 8mm Digest

A Hammer film , the old Universal atmosphere !
That's how I would describe the NEW super 8mm sound / black & white 200 foot digest that DAVE Films has released to the collector's community !
This black & white , polyester Kodak film print captures the atmosphere of the old Universal monster films we all had from Castle films .
Although originally filmed in Technicolor , the negative for this digest was struck from an Eastman 16mm Original color print ( faded ) , hence the Black & white version .
And it certainly did the job !
Check out the screen shots . It's a beautiful print ! With BOOMING sound . It also features a 1 minute TV spot at the beginning for THE CURSE OF THE WEREWOLF / SHADOW OF THE CAT double feature ( as was billed together in 1961 )

JUST IN TIME FOR YOUR HALLOWEEN SHOW !!

Interesting. Can't beat Hammer or Universal for the Halloween season.

It has the look of a universal horror in b/w, with all the gory bits that hammer were famous for. Oliver Reed as the monster is just brilliant, and some exceptional horror makeup too, as good as the Lon Chaney Jr version, would have made a great 600 footer.......
