Gladiators 7.

This afternoon’s offering is Gladiators 7 released in 1962 with a run time of 92 mins in the English version down from 105 mins in its original form.I can see why just not up there with the Magnificent 7 or Gladiator.Good try though.Made in Italy it’s a reasonable sword and sandal movie starring Richard Harrison and a load of Italian actors. The story follows a group of seven gladiators who see of all the bad guys and Harrison gets the girl.Unlike the magnificent 7 all these gladiators survive.
Came on 3 x 1600 reels colour and cropped to from its original scope version.

Pics taken in semi daylight the only issue I had was the Elf M1 that I showed the other day decided to give up the ghost as far as I can see at a quick glance the motor has packed up,still it is quite old.Something else to sort now although to be fair I have some other machines so it won’t be high on the repairs list.
Happy Easter 🎞🎞😁

Gwyn,

This looks a fun one to watch...did you feel the cropping messed up any of the action scenes?

Greg,
No the cropping made no real difference, the action sequences were not quite up there with the best, and as it was bubbed it really just added to the chaos.
Still fun to watch though 😁
