Poltergeist scope

#1 by Erik Schoolcraft , Fri Feb 07, 2020 5:30 am

Looking to complete my print of Poltergeist. I have the last reel in scope and color but it is badly faded Eastman color. Anyone have the rest of it?

Erik,

Are you looking for 16mm? Poltergeist came out in 1982, around the transition point to low-fade so apparently there are a few 16mm prints on old Eastman stock--the kind that fades.

Tom may be referring to the Super 8 Derann prints which are all low-fade as far as I know...

Thanks for responding Greg. My reel is 16mm and definitly not low-fade but in scope. Think these prints were struck for the Canadian multiplexes. The super8 Derann prints were made much later but looking at the date codes on the film this is an earlier print. What I have is the last reel which is on a 2400' reel so looking for the beginning to middle of the film. My reel still has some color but is fading. I've taken some pics of the movie running but my camera compensates for color change so I don't think the pictures count.
