I really liked this 400 footer, it was very well edited and action packed, sadley they all seem to be faded.i have yet to see any reprints on low fade stock.
It was also our first encounter with fade. My Brother bought it new when i was at school. Roll on many years later and it turned beetroot red within a very short time. Straight in the bin it went. For me, this was the beginning of my bitterness toward fade. I know its inevitable for many prints but i believe dealers who produced prints for home sale and not hire, should have only used decent proven stocks, not crappy fast fade tripe clearly used for profit. This hobby has always been expensive and im positive the producers knew the limited life of certain stocks..

Fading is sad and I would off course prefer a good color print, but I don't have a problem watching a faded print from time to if that is my only option. It is a personal preference which is up to every single one of us. But if I had bought it in good color and watched it fade I would have been very frustrated indeed. I got this pre faded :-)

I do agree it is a good edit. The base story is easy to understand, and the digest has a good pace and I got sucked into the story very quickly. I also love the box that is in a very good condition.

I bought the full length of this at Blackpool last year it has colour left and some browns but the film has always been a muddy colour due to the documentary look of it. But its very watchable and was worth getting.

Yes, I bought the Ken Films 2001 8 x 400ft the same year at Blackpool. What a find. Probably like David's FC, a bit brown but very watchable.

I don't think I'll make it this year, David. It's quite a hike from SE and I was a bit disappointed with the show last year. I find BSTR, Harpenden and Pimlico much better for choice, but Blackpool has some great events of course. We'll see...
