hi! fellas,can anyone please tell me what,s the maxium reel capacity for the elmo cl16 will it be 2000 or 2200 ?

2000’ on mine, borrowed a film on 2200 once and it scraped the projector. I am not 100% on it, though. It will do Taylor reels of 2300’ capacity though, size of Reel is 2000’ with smaller core

If the projector takes a 200ft spool it should acommodate a 2220 spool as they are the same size, just a smaller core.

thanks you too friend Robert,i had jump to 16mm a couples month ,it,s the way to get what doesn,t exist in super 8 full lenghts.

Luis, i myself only jumped back into 16mm after a 20 year break just over a year ago.
I wish i hadn't stopped for so long. So much more choice and great image and sound every time.

Hi Luis, I have 2x 2,200ft spools and they both fit my projector OK. One is a Tuscan that I bought from Paul Foster. I haven't seen any 2,300ft spools on offer. I love 16mm. Almost everything I have was never issued in super 8.

The Taylor reels are 2300’ capacity with 2000’ size. The reel that did not fit my Elmo, was okay on the Bauer. Metal reel and just a few mm too big on the 16-CL

The Tuscan 2200 ft reels, have the same diameter as their 2000 ft reels. Other makes may have different sizes.
