Some info please guys. I have a U8 copy of this, quite a nice print, however the colour seams a bit of the yellow side, is this how it's supposed to be with the 3D effect? any advice and info would be appreciated, Del.

Yes, there is no 3D effect on all red Kodak-Copys, after 40 years....

Have the same print here in the states on U8 but was printed on cheap Eastman stock and went red. No 3D once the film starts shifting colors. Have other anaglyph films that have faded also. Once the color goes so does the effect.

There is one thing i did learn about these 3D films. Those Derann glasses you could buy were, (compared to the ones supplied with the films) crap!
I bought Murder in 3D and used the Derann glasses, the 3D effect was pretty poor to say the least so i sold it on right away. The film came with a load of glasses so i kept two pairs as spare.
Months went by and i decided to view both our other 3D films, Creature from the black lagoon and it came from outer space,
When i viewed them i used newer Derann supplied glasses and both film had virtually no 3D, i assumed they were going off colour and was going to sell them. I viewed the better one of the two, Creature from black lagoon again this time using the 3D glasses that were supplied with the films and bugger me, the 3D was fine and still is to this day so i slung the Derann aftermarket glasses. The colours on the len's of the U8 supplied glasses are a fair bit deeper in colours than the Derann ones. How many people have assumed there 3D have lost there effect because they dont have the original 3D glasses supplied by U8?

I think there are two different anaglyph 3D glasses available. One is RED/BLUE, and the other is RED/CYAN. Cyan being greenish-blue. Cyan is halfway between blue and green on the color wheel. Depending on the film, one pair will work better than the other. Maybe this is what was happening with the two sets of glasses you had Tom.
I have a couple of Audioscopic 3D films in Super 8. Last time I checked the 3D still worked. I will have to dig them out and see what color glasses I have and how the 3D has held up.

My print of Murder in 3D from Derran has also faded but the color lenses for that film were red and green not cyan. Still doesn't work with any glasses I've tried.

Vidar,
This is great to essentially see "before and after" images of the ORS treatment. The improvement shown in most of the images is quite good I think.

Jaws print does look much better. Not sure if it would help with a 3-D print though. They are pretty color specific. Like I said before, I haven't had much luck with them.
