16mm Screening on multiple reels- help.

Hi
am new to this forum,

I work in an Art gallery and I've been given the task to show a 1h.42 m film, on 16mm in about a months time.

I don't know how many reels i would need I have a few but maybe not enough ,

I have 2x Eiki NT1 projectors with 100mm lenses

we have a 6m wide projection screen (for the video projector) at a distance of about 11m away from the screen,

can anyone give me some advice on how i should go about setting up the projectors (with Reels, lamps lenses etc) to make it work the 'best'

thanks
M

If you buy two Taylor Reels 2000’ size with 2300’ capacity, that is all you need. They will hold 2 hour 8 minutes I think, when filled

If you could please send your full name to admin, that would be great, we only use real names here

Good luck

Regarding your 16mm showing, if you have 100mm lenses you will only get a very small picture at a short projection distance.
Here is a chart to assist you showing various focal length lenses and the screen size for projection distance.

11 meters is quite long distance, but I am crap at calculating these things

I would suggest that you try and obtain the film you are to show prior to the event and set up your projectors and have a run through to obtain the best result before the actual show.
Further if you have a hand rewinder suggest check film before you look to show it to make sure it’s ok to show.
Also you say you have some reels maybe they will match up to the ones the film comes on so you won’t need more.
Just a few suggestions.
