As I had 30 minutes to burn today I stopped by a local thrift store to see what they had and was surprised to see a storage case with 16mm films. Ten 400-footers marked Mexico, California, Disneyland, Florida etc. Unrolled a bit and the stock was double-perf Kodachrome.
The Disneyland film was marked on the stock as processed in Mar 1960. Although not shown in the pics below, the young girl in the film was certainly enjoying her time there--and how nice it must have been for the family to relive the memories they shared by watching this film. A nice reminder of how important film was/is.
It is interesting to see Disneyland in the early years with some of the attractions (like Storybook Land) that eventually were discontinued and replaced by something else. Film was sharper than my crummy iphone pics indicate--as usual....
