OK before you get excited, this is an old home-built unit that utilises the motor from an old Bauer projector, cleverly repurposed for an LPU. The feed arm is missing the reel holder but I don't think that would be insurmountable. It would be a shame to take it to the dump if someone could utilise it, I'll even thrown in 2 free long play reels. Collection only from West Sussex.

Stuart, have you tried it out with the Van-Eck Super 8 adaptors? I'm assuming they won't work because there is no screw lock on each spindle.

Martin, I haven't. That front arm has a hole through it so you should in theory be able to bolt absolutely anything on to it. Are you based near the south coast? Happy to meet somewhere and hand it over to you if you want it.

Stuart, sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. Thanks so much for the offer but it looks like it might be a bit of a challenge modifying the LPU for Super 8, so I think I'll pass on this occasion. Have you thought of bringing it to one of the Autumn conventions to flog on one of the tables?
