Does anyone know how one gets a line level feed out of a 16CL?

What output sockets does it have Stuart?

Regrettably, there is no provision for this output.

That does surprise me Maurice. Does it not even have a socket for an extension speaker?

Yes they have an extention speaker socket Andrew, Mark

If it was an Eiki/Elf such a provision is available on some models by using a three ring jack plug.

The extension speaker socket will work then, especially if fed into a mixer first so long as the volume level on the projector is kept very low.

Good shout Vidar for those without a mixer!

Think they might be even cheaper ones from China with free shipping. They work nice, used it a few times myself

I use them all the time.I connect the projectors to my old stereo amplifier. -Like Vidar says it works great, for a couple of pounds

Just speaker output unfortunately Andrew. I'd think there would be a way of tapping into the board for line level?

Vidar's solution here Stuart sounds the least risky, most effective and easiest solution to this dilemma and at little expense too Stuart.

I'm sure an additional socket (din or other) could be mounted to the machine body somewhere and branched from the appropriate place on the pre amp stage of the amplifier, but would it be worth the effort while ever devices like these are available for little expense?

I use Vidars solution on a 16CL. It works great. Just set the projectors volume control low. You may have to adjust it depending on what film you project

Yes. Put a speaker plug on the cables and connect to the speaker output and a Hi-Fi amplifier. You´ll get great cinema sound

My ORO Logic II amp gives surround sound too
