A big thanks to you all for those who supported me over the troubled times.
I helped build this forum at its inception and now I have been made a scapegoat

I think admins should not threaten to remove members that has done nothing wrong. Picture gallery should not be deleted, unless it is not film related. And your negativity claiming you don't feel good about film collecting anymore and will go digital, that is not what this forum needs. I can't stop those who wants out, but we who stays will try our best to help all interested in film, newcomers deserve more than your negative comments. It is a forum for sharing knowledge, not just to experts. 50 years in the business is impressive, but when you feel newcomers do not deserve your knowledge, this is not a forum for you obviously

Deletion complete. I have no idea what people here feel about this, but David deleted pictures, I do not know which, but they should not be there for a limited time, which he set himself. We have unlimited upload, so why remove anything. I will try to add to rules, if you do not want your picture to stay on there, do not post it. Nothing should be deleted, except non-film related

At least now we'll be spares from subject titles IN ALL CAPITALS :p

Mocking the man now he has left the forum, a bit childish don't you think ?, you could have learned a lot from this man, and maybe saved yourself a lot money and time
with his knowledge on this subject of film and collecting, respect is earned and not given, not a great few month's really for this forum with so many good fellows no longer here, I'm not in agreement as to why it was done and how it was done, but it is your forum Vidar, ultimately you can do as you see fit.

I agree that kidding about it is not a good idea.

If there are any more that wants to comment on this, please think about if it needs to be said. Otherwise it is a way better idea to comment other topics on film and let this be. This forum has had more than enough of negativity and as Paul shows there are more than one opinion here.

David's loss to this forum, is without doubt, yet another enormous loss to this forum.
He was after all, one of the pioneers of this forum and a man of great experience and knowledge of this entire interest both professionally and as a hobbyist

I don't understand most of the shenanigans on here lately, nor do I particularly want to attempt to even begin to try and make sense of it.

I said what I believe a forum should be used for and I stand by it.
If we use them as first intended and with the best possible intentions, then I don't see why there should ever really be any issues.

It is just a means for sharing a recreational hobby and a common interest and that's all it is!

We just need to keep this forefront in our minds when things drift off course and all will be fine I feel.

That is a respectful thing to do, Andrew, you are a big man to admit that. Hugh, Robert, David was all this year and it WAS quite tumultous.
