A Fish Called Wanda 3 x 1600ft spools Agfa

Tonight we viewed my print of the John Cleese crime comedy, A fish Called Wanda, a 1988 heist comedy film directed by Charles Crichton and written by Crichton and John Cleese. It stars Cleese, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Kline, and Michael Palin. The film follows a gang of diamond thieves who double-cross one another to find stolen diamonds hidden by the gang leader. A barrister becomes a central figure as femme fatale Wanda uses him to locate the loot.
A very funny film that i never tire of watching and am very pleased to have got,(at last) a good 16mm print. The condition of the print is pretty good, reels 1 and 2 are very good with just a few light base lines here and there, reel 3 has a few more baselines and a couple of splices, one in particular has a little jump, but as i am a bit fussy i will get this restored back to its former glory. Great colours, pin sharpe image and excellent sound throughout.

Tom,
A great film to have. I will need to rewatch this via streaming very soon...your pics do a good job in capturing this fun comedy. Well worth the cost to have the missing bits "marco-ized" and added back.

This is a good one. Michael Palin who keeps on killing animals by accident is one of the highlights :-)

It is a title i have wanted for a long time. I did miss the super 8 optical prints a few times but the main advantage with this print is that it is a theatrical print so it doesnt have the edits of the 8mm prints.

Three of the images in here are remade inserts.
Can anyone spot them?

It is an excellent job and these were from a dvd not a blu ray. The same with our waterloo print, the opening was all from a DVD and i think the colours work perfectly for film.
