Just a heads up on this last roller to the take up reel. I notice mine did not turn smoothly in its off position, and not any better when running a film through. The tension i suspected would determine the position of this, but it stays almost in the the same position, so the film is running over it in a stationary position, not good. Now with some effort you can turn this with your finger, but i was sure this was being restricted by something, there are two springs on this, well on mine anyway, so i thought it could be these, with too much tension, not them i discovered. With a torch i looked at the roller edges to see if it was touching something, and sure enough the back edge was fouling against the lower cover. I got me trusty posidrive and moved the cover down and tightened up. Now it runs free, no restrictions. Gentlemen check this item on your machine as its covered when running, and you can't see it in a darkened room, and it could be like mine stationary when it should be rolling with the film....................

I would assume this would cause scratching if it were jammed?

Thanks for this tip, super helpful. I have the Kodak CT-1000 (16-CL clone) and will be checking that rear roller tonight.
