During next week i am going to have PLy with the old Eumig 820.
I have always avoided playing with these machines in the past as this is the projectors my Brother collects. I bought the super 8 only model last year and id like to see about "that motor and discs" set up. Its the usual tail with these so if anyone has any tips of how to get these working without having to flip forward and backward or wait for speed up, i'll be grateful.
I dont know if there are any service books around for these.

Tom, are you asking about the rubber drive discs? You can rub them with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton bud and it will restore them pretty quickly. Might take a few applications if the machine hasn't been used for a while. Also gently clean the motor wheel that makes contact with the rubber discs, also with pure alcohol.

Cheers Martin, im thinking i may possibly need to replace to the motor mounts. I will take a closer look in the coming week and let you know.
