Yesterday I screened " The Domino Principle" starring Gene Hackman, Candice Bergen, Richard Widmark, Eli Wallach and Mickey Rooney - its similar in story line to The Parallax View with Warren Beatty ( which I also have on 16mm) I do like Gene Hackman and he does this type of role as a man fighting against a shadowy government organisation very well. The other film - "Silent Partner" - starring Elliot Gould, Susannah York and a tour de force performance from the late Christopher Plummer as a psychotic Bank Robber who plays a disturbing cat and mouse game with crooked bank teller Elliot Gould - id forgotten how good the film was and how unpleasant Plummer's character was - although set at Christmas - this isnt one for the childrens party !!
