I am on the look out for two titles on 16mm although i know its a small chance,

An Innocent Man starring Tom Selleck, 1989
Henry. Portrait of a serial killer. 1986.

The latter is a title that would need to be the uncut theatrical version. I first saw this film at Plymouths art cinema, a real shocker the first time you see i. I suspect Gwyn may well have been the projectionist at the time
