Here is a catchy tune from 1963 by Dion, "Ruby Baby". This was on a reel with a few other miscellaneous bits, including the VW commercial from the 1970's with King Kong, and a couple faded commercials. This isn't faded but color is a bit muted. Film print isn't super sharp, but of course, far better than my pics demonstrate.

Here we have Dion singing and 'flying' a commercial jet. Fun to see the classy uniforms the "stewardesses" are wearing. I may have to attach this to the front of an early 60's film to properly set the mood for the viewing audience.

Was this originally one of those juke box films; Dion did at least two others, 'Runaround Sue' was one.

I am not sure if the negative for this Super 8 film was made from a 'Scopitone' 16mm film, but that certainly could be the case. There is no info on the head or tail to indicate who distributed this.
BTW, I see you have a new profile pic--is that the TQ III projector which was recently given a nice tune-up? Looks very nice...

I too have the King Kong trailer which I have on the front of the feature.

Hi Greg, the 655D takes a 240 volt 1000 watt lamp (Obsolete), and the 655QE takes a 24 volt 250 watt quartz lamp, also it has 2 lamp settings, one for economy.

That is a rare reel Greg, not seen that before and in very good condition by looks of it, screenshots look fine to me, would you describe the focus as like the MGM digests?

Although I have some digests, I don't believe I have any MGM ones...the focus is decently sharp just not like it should or could be..

Robert,until I got the adverts I had never seen this one either,but it is for the American market I would suggest.
The last shot is Kongs left arm waving out the left hand drivers side window.
The advert is quite short..

Thanks for posting the pics....it is a fun one to have, and the stop motion is well done I thought. From what I understand the commercial itself (I am thinking it was from 1974, but could be off on that) was considered a bit of a flop for VW, speaking only from a marketing/advertising standpoint that is.
