Unfortunatly, all the full features are pretty much faded. A lot of people must have spent fortunes on those marketing full length prints only to end up having them fade thanks to the poor film stocks used.
The 3 x 400 are still holding up ok. We have Godfather one and two and they still appear to be ok. I will check them both soon as it has been a while since i looked at them. A full feature of the first one would be a great one to have. I wonder if there any good theatrical prints on 16mm out there.
I remember when the BBC first showed it years ago there was a bit of a fanfare about in the papers. It read something like, "some nifty scissor work has enabled the BBC to show the modern classic The Godfather, with approx 14 minutes of cuts". When you see Goodfellas, (another excellent gangster movie) on the telly uncut these days, it just shows how times have changed. As time goes on every generation becomes more and more desensitised to blood, gore and violence and bad language.
