Actor Brian Dennehy has died at 81.

I heard on the radio while driving that Brian did not get into acting till age 38! He was certainly a very busy guy as he was in not only stage plays, but some TV shows, and numerous films as well. This may be unfair, but at least to me it seems like most of the roles he portrayed were a 'bad guy' of sorts--the Sheriff in 'First Blood' for example.

Over here in the U'K, I saw him more in TV shows, as we used to get more imports than we seem to these days. He was certainly a good actor.

I loved him in the 2 "Cocoon" movies and the 2 "F/X" movies, he was a much better actor than was portrayed in some of his screen roles, but these 4 films were fine examples of his screen work, another fine actor to have gone to the big projection room in the sky!

Another great actor gone.
Such a shame, if he was in a movie it was going to be a good one.And he gave Rambo a good run for his momey in First Blood.
