Michael J. Pollard (1939–2019)

Michael J. Pollard (1939–2019) Has died.

Pollard's big break (and his critically most acclaimed role) was as the loyal, but inarticulate and child-like garage mechanic turned get-away driver C.W. Moss in Arthur Penn's gangster epic Bonnie and Clyde (1967). He appeared in many popular TV programmes, such as Lost In Space and Star Trek.

I think one of my favourites is Hannibal Brooks.

Not many of his work is on super 8mm The Legend Of Frenchie King released by Iver Films might be the only one.

I still love the smell of film in the morning

I also liked Michael J Pollard, Hannibal Brooks is a film rarely shown on TV, if at all. Very sad.

This is sad - what a great character performer - however I do have a copy of Little Fauss and Big Halsy on 16mm where he is 2nd billing to Robert Redford - and he is excellent in it.
