Doris Day has died at age 97. I will always remember her for the role in the Hitchcock film The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) with James Stewart.

When Doris' third husband. Martin Melcher, died in 1968 she was shocked to learn that he and his business partner had squandered her earnings and she was deeply in debt. In order to rectify this great omission she starred on television in The Doris Day Show from 1968 to 1973.
