I'm more from the nineties and earlier. But the fifties sixties and seventies feature loads of my favourites.

I still love the smell of film in the morning

Me too David, though the 80's was a special decade to me, I agree that I have favourite films that extend back to around the 1950's from each of the decades, just not many from this current one however.

One or two from even earlier than the 50's too, especially animated films.

My favorites Alien (79), The Thing (82), Empire Strikes Back (80), Star Wars (77), Jaws (75), Close Encounters, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Lethal Weapon, The Goonies, Wild At Heart, Annie Hall, Manhattan, ET, Back to the Future and many more, but mainly 70’s to mid 90’s

If I could return in time, I would love 70’s, so much goodies to look forward to

I'd definitely pick the 70's to have my own childhood and adolescence in, even if I had been granted a choice.
Just enough technology to make exciting products, not so much so everything could be made to run from silicon chips without any mechanical parts.

How the hell did I manage to forget Gremlins? There is probably more, but Gremlins is awesome and should not have been forgotten

There are hundreds when you stop to think about the great films from this era.

The Lost Boys, Ferris Buellers Day Off, Mad Max, The Shining, Dirty Dancing, Top Gun etc etc etc, the list goes on and on and on and something for everyone! 😊🔟
