He's been trying to shift this over a year; you would think it was an original 35mm Nitrate print from the price.
That's extra Martin, it's in the sellers other items, it was Walt Disney's own personal item, starting bid of a very reasonable £50,000,well it would be if it was for sale judging by this!! Mark
A very suspicious offering.
1) Double perf, or is that only the leader, film should be sound.
2) Spool small, doesn't look large enough to hold the full film.
3) Not Disney's first film by a long chalk.
4) Can't spell the title correctly , which is "Steamboat Willie".

Even the full film with sound etc etc is still a bit ambitious asking that price,Mark
This film is probably a Hollywood Film Enterprises print. The were licensed by Disney and released lots of abridged silent films to the home market from the 30´s to the 60´s. They made really good prints. I have 30 -40 of their films in my collection. Still in good condition. Value without original box, but in good condition $ 3 - 10.

Answering Vidar on the 16mm full length. My copy is just under 300ft.
In early 1928 Walt Disney introduced his first Mickey Mouse cartoon, "Gallopin' Gaucho", followed by "Plane Crazy."
The two films were silent and had not been released when Walt started on his third Mickey, also silent, "Steamboat Willie".
Then Warners released "The Jazz Singer" and this film started the sound revolution.
Walt immediately held back distribution of the two silent Mickey's and hurriedly added synchronised sound to his current "Steamboat Willie".
The film opened to enthusiastic audiences at the Colony Theatre, New York, on 18 November 1928.
The two previous silent films then had sound added and were released after "Steamboat Willie".

I checked my 16mm print. It´s about 300 ft, as Maurice wrote. I also have Plane Crazy on 16mm. To pieces of film history
